Uninstall AVG (Mac) Free - Problems!

Hi Karthik, I have the same issue as Simon. A avgautouninstall-*.log file is being added to /tmp every few seconds and filling up disk space. Can you tell me how to resolve this issue?

Hello Simon,

We are here to help you. Please follow the below steps and check if that helps.

Open Finder > Applications > right click on AVG AntiVirus.app > select Show package contents > open Contents folder > double click on Uninstaller.app.

You can remove the AVG files manually by drag and move to trash which is located in the preference, application support, cache files and elsewhere in the library section.
Thank you for the screenshot.
We have passed this information to senior team.

I am unable to install AVG Free on my Mac as it says that the old version has not been uninstalled. I have run the processes recommended by AVG (https://bit.ly/2IxuCVs) without success.
Can anyone help please?
Thank you.

Simon, we'd request to delete the previously downloaded installation file, download it again using this link https://www.avg.com/download-thank-you.php?product=AVM and try the installation.

If the issue persists, we'd request to collect the AVG setup log available at the below mentioned location on your Mac and share it with us.

Open finder > Go - Go to folder > enter /tmp. Collect avgpostinstall-[some number].log and attach it in a reply to an email we just sent.

We appreciate your efforts.
In this case, let me check with my senior team and get back to you.
Your patience is much appreciated.

Yes, Simon.

You should type " /tmp " on go to folder option. It will open AVG logs, please check if there is any file listed with the name " avgpostinstall-[some number].log ". If so, collect it and attach it in our email.

If not, share the screenshot of that logs page to check with it.
