Hi Chuck,
If you have trouble uninstalling and get this message:
I have a solution for you. Open up Terminal and enter the following commands:
cd /Library/LaunchDaemons
sudo rm -rf com.avg*
cd /Applications
sudo rm -rf AVGTuneUp.app
You'll be prompted for your password after each sudo command. The first command removes the Launch Daemons AVG uses, but it will still have a persistent program that will reload itself everytime you force kill it. The 2nd command set deletes the application itself, deleting the AVGTuneUp app folder recurvisely.
It took me forever to figure out. Hope this helps!
I Can't uninstall AVG Tune Up on my iMac without having AVG doing it remotely .this doesn't seem right.Am I missing something?

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG programs. You can try to uninstall AVG TuneUp from your MAC by following the steps in this article.
Also, if you reconsider, please reinstall AVG protection & TuneUp to let us know the outcome.
IMAC was running so slow . Apple suggested uninstalling Anti Virus and Tune Up . Was able to uninstall Anti Virus and made a world of difference. I tried uninstalling Tune Up,and wont let me . I Am running Ventura 13.5.2. Thanks
