Hi Dinesh, Thank you for the swift reply. I do not recive the prompt mentioned above. However, I suspect there might be 2 passwords, af I have a paid subscription on VPN client and a free version of AVG antivirus. I have used the password associated with my e-mail associated with my AVG account. Cannot find any other mails or passwords in previous correspondance or my computer. Kr, Ulrikka
Hi Ulrikka,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
From your description, it seems that you're being prompted to enter Settings password.
It is a feature that helps to prevent unauthorized access of AVG program & it is different from AVG account password.
To ensure this, let us know whether you receive the prompt titled 'Authorization - An attempt has been made to enter protected area' upon attempting to uninstall from control panel.
I have tried to uninstall AVG antivirus, as apparently the programme blocks extra website from by bank, and FileZilla wherefore I cannot connect to my website. Regrettable, I cannot make changes in settings, nor uninstall as the user and password is not accepted. Have checked my user=e-mail account is correct, and changed password which was accepted. However still the programme does not accept my user/password, and I cannot make changes
Could you share us the screenshot of the page where you are not able to enter your e-mail and password?

I do not get any prompt, just fail to login, when entering my e-mail and password? Kr, Ulrikka
Thank you very much, this answer solved the issue.
Appreciate your efforts in sharing us the screenshot, Ulrikka.
Upon checking it, we see that you're being prompted for your MAC login credentials & not a password that is affiliated with AVG.
Usually, certain actiions such as installation, uninstallation of apps reuires admin privileges. You can enter your MAC login credentials & proceed to uninstall the program. For further queries, feel free to write back to us.
