I uninstalled avg as I couldn't download updates, my plan was to reinstall it. However once I uninstalled avg I was unable to access the internet as I had unidentified network, I'm connected by Ethernet and my internet worked before I uninstalled. Anyway to either take my pc back to when avg was installed and working or to make my internet work? Either fix is fine.

Apprecicate your efforts to try our suggestions. I would suggest you to perform a system restore to an earlier date or contact your ISP for further assistance.
I've tried all that, I've gone from having a yellow triangle on my networking in normal boot mode to having a red x in safe mode with networking, so that hasn't worked unfortunately. Is there any other fixes you might have?
