Hi Balasubramanian,
I'm afraid that doesn't work either. avgui.exe *32 is still showing under task manager processes and is creating error messages, using system resources and appears to be preventing Avast running in active mode.
I am worries as windows keeps crashing now and I do not have any stable restore points.
Is there any third party software removal tools apart from revo I could try as your programs seem incapable of removing your software.
Cheers
Colin
Hi Aravinh,
I should have mentioned I already had tried the official avg uninstall with limited success. It removed some components not all and avg still showed as a program in control panel.
So I used revo which removes the program from control panel view but the avggui.exe remains and tries to reinstall and prevents other anti virus being activated as well as slowing the whole system.
I have been trying to uninstall AVG from a windows 7 operating system.
Even after revo has removed the program from control panel programs, AVGgui.exe remains and AVG is still active preventing other programs from working.
Any idea how to remove this?
Cheers
