I tried that and It will not run. Seems to be blocked some how. All other programs run but AVG products are stopped. Not sure if AVG was hyjacked. I did remove Trojan.click…but when i do the restart to complete the removal it reinstalls. don't know how to remove it so that it doesn't block me removing the infected AVG program.
Ok. my computer was infected and it took me over 6 hours to finally remove the virus/Trojan. I do have antivirus software to protect me for now, but I cannot uninstall AVG free. I believe it may have been corrupted or it has been disabled to run. I went to control panel to remove but nothing happens. I downloaded AVG clear and attempted to run it also and it does not run. My other antivirus software runs perfectly fine. so I know I am not infected anymore. Just think that anything associated with AVG is being blocked from running, any ideas on how to remove it and re-install a new copy?
no errors. i click on the icon and nothing happens. icon spins for a few seconds and stops. not sure if something is blocking it from running.

I regret for any inconvenience this may have caused. I would request you to boot your PC to safe mode and run AVG Clear tool.
Upon successfully removing AVG from safe mode, refer to steps in this link on how to download and install AVG Anti Virus free.
Also, it is generally not recommended to use more than one security solution on a single system. They will compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes or in no protection at all.

May I know if you receive any error message when you try to run AVG clear tool? If yes, please provide us with a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of it. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. Please also share a screenshot of AVG Anti Virus free listed in your control panel.
