I certainly understand your issue and sorry for the inconvenience caused. I would request you to use our AVG remover tool once and then try reinstalling the AVG free program. Please follow the below mentioned instructions for it:

1) First step is to use AVG Remover tool and uninstall your AVG program completely. To download AVG Remover Tool please click on the following link:
For 32-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_5501.exe
For 64-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.

my system got several viruses in it even using AVG free edition in windows xp. no when i tryu to unistall it there is no avg in the add/remove programs, and also there is no way to find it in downloads and/program files in the computer. It has(or the virud has) removed the run feature also from the system so i have no way to get to the regedit function to take itout of the registry. can any one help with this mess?

  1. Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
    NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
