Unsecapp.exe process

Hello, I use AVG Free (software version 18.6.3066) and after the last updating yesterday 2 new processes have shown in the task manager - both are unsecapp.exe.
Now every time I load my OS (Windows XP) these 2 unsecapp.exe are there.
Why? And can I remove them or?

In Windows XP there is no an easy way to find the path (location) of the process (especially when System Information is not installed).
Anyway, I found a way using Command Prompt and the command
"WMIC PROCESS get Caption,Commandline,Processid"
It showed the expecting path for both unsecapp.exe:
unsecapp.exe   C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exe -Embedding 3668
unsecapp.exe   C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exe -Embedding 3428

As I said before I am aware of this but this presence ot these 2 processes in the Task manager is connected with the last update of AVG as many other people over the world have noticed (look at the new theme here from Mike B "Unsecapp.exe" and look in Google how this has happened many times last few years - some update of AVG/Avast leads to this).
I hope that some of the next updates will stop these processes.

Georgi, we can check this with our senior team and provide a confirmation.
Please be patient to know about the status.
Thanks.

Sorry, but there is no "Properties" when I right-click the process in the Task manager, only "End process".

Hello Georgi,

Sorry for the delay.
This process "unsecapp.exe" is related to Windows Management Instrumentation. This is a safe process and some antivirus needs this process to be ran in the background for better protection.

Thank you for the information.

This seems to be located under System32. This is a genuine Windows process which cannot be stopped on your computer.

Killing this process may result in failure of some windows application.
