Update to Version 18.4 gives blank and nonresponsive scan settings screen

Just an update: the menu is responding now, although the scan settings screen is still blank. The only option that's not responsive is the "Antivirus - Installed" option, and I guess the program is assuming that since I'm in the antivirus function, it doesn't need to go anywhere. The other menu options are now reacting as expected.

But to be clear, the scan settings screen is exactly as blank as it was before.

The system tray icon is present, and Task Manager shows the Software Analyzer, Firewall Service, AVG Service, and AVG Antivirus are running, so I hope and assume the program is functioning; I just can't see the scan settings.
I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit version.

I updated today to AVG version 18.4.3056. When I restarted, AVG said that it had addressed the issue that updating the program erased the scheduled scan information. So I clicked on the magnifying glass next to the "Scan Computer" button to see if it had retained the settings.

Instead of seeing the scan settings screen as it should be, with options and a list of my scheduled scans, instead, I get a completely blank screen. I don't mean that my scans have been erased -- I can't actually tell. I mean that the screen is Absolutely, Completely BLANK. There's the AVG Internet Security menu bar at the top, the white back arrow on the left and NOTHING ELSE on the screen.

I would upload images to show what I mean, but you can't load images into the forum directly with the "Image" icon, it seems.

Even if the update had erased my scheduled scans again and I wanted to redo them, I can't because there's nothing on the screen to work with. And I can't tell whether or not they're gone.

On top of that, the white arrow on the left side of the Scan Settings screen is dead. I can click on it as many times as you like, but nothing at all happens. The only way to get off that screen is to completely close the AVG Internet Security window.

Even the AVG Internet Security menu bar, on the blank scan settings screen, is mostly dead. Clicking on the "My AVG" shows the various options, as usual. What is supposed to happen, if you click on the "Antivirus" option is that it takes you back to the main screen. What happens instead is Nothing At All. Once you're on the blank settings screen, you can't do anything but close the program.

Any information on how to fix this and to tell if I even still have scheduled scans would be much appreciated.

As a separate issue: AVG Internet Security no longer tells me when an update is available, and hasn't for some time. I only know an update is available if I have to go into the Internet Security interface for some reason. It used to be almost offensively assertive about popping up the program interface to tell you there was an update, and now it says nothing at all unless you look. Surely there must be a happy medium between IN YOUR FACE and utter silence.
Wendall, I have checked the web link and the images are showing fine on my end. I would request you to try and load the webpage on a different web browser.
