Was this ever resolved? I have had the same problem for months. Cant get this updated or go away.
I have the same issue. I've restarted the computer multiple times. It appears to be a Microsoft error but it'd be great to know if there is a fix on this end.

Please share us the screenshot of the Driver Updater interface, with the scan result. Meanwhile, please restart your computer once to check if it helps.
The driver update scanner keeps saying the update has happened but every time I rescan it says the pci express root complex driver is still out dated. Drivers:
Current version: Microsoft 10.0.22621.1778 21 Jun 2006
Newest version: Intel 2.5.4.40 26 Mar 2014
