Updating the free version of AVG

I did all that the article told me to do and it stillwont update… I have tried everything…I am not sure what else i can do…

I have tried several times to update my AVG Free and it has failed… My computer is all up to date with its programs except for my AVG, I have even tried uninstalling AVG and then reinstalling it… I could use some help please… I need to have my computer protected.
