Virus Definitions not updating

Doesnt work, once I click uninstall the second time, the pop up window states te following:

"Setup is already running. Please try to start the setup later."

Gives me the options to View Log, or hit OK. I clicked on view log and there was nothing there, just an empty text box. .

I even tried to forcibly close the processes running AVG, but wouldnt let me do that either.
I literally have FIFTEEN processes running from AVG. thats redonculous.

I have the same problem.
I tried the instructions above and doesn't work

I need help.
thanks

My Virus definitions are not update, just continuously shows the "checking for updates", even though it already knows that I need the updates.  This happened before, and I had to clean wipe from my computer and reinstall, id rather NOT have to do that again for it to do its job.

The application is updated already, just not the definitions.

Any Ideas?
I apologize for the inconvenience caused, Chris

I have the same problem, and judging from the unsuccesful AVG suggestions, it seems clear there is an AVG glitch in the program somewhere.  So - AVG - please sort it out

I am having the same problem.  I have done a clean install 3 times and it updates the definitions once and then goe back to not doing the updates.  Something is wrong with the latest program software.  I have been with AVG for a long time but if this doesn't get fixed, I'll have to ry an other vendors software.
