Powered up computer this morning and left it to do its own thing. Must have downloaded an AVG update.
AVG now saying there is an error and "Click here" Doing so reveals nothing. Says that I am protected. Now it seems there are TWO shortcuts to AVG…one directing to AVG Protection and the other to AVG Internet Security.The former shows errors and the latter says everything is fine. Tried the repair function to no avail.
Any suggestions ?

I understand your concern. It seems that the AVG program installed in your computer got updated to latest version and the older version still remains in your computer. To fix this issue, I suggest you to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer and do a clean installation of latest version of AVG. Please follow the steps in the next post to completely remove all the traces of AVG from your computer.
