Please try changing the network protocol on the AVSG Secure VPN and check.
You can refer to the below steps and check :
You can customize the VPN protocol settings via ☰ Menu ▸ Settings ▸ VPN protocols. The following options are available:
Automatic (recommended): Where possible, AVG Secure VPN connects using the OpenVPN protocol. If connection via OpenVPN fails, the application automatically switches to the Mimic protocol.
WireGuard beta: AVG Secure VPN always connects using WireGuard beta.
Mimic: AVG Secure VPN always connects using the Mimic protocol. This is useful in countries with restrictions on VPN use, where OpenVPN may be blocked.
OpenVPN: AVG Secure VPN always connects using the OpenVPN protocol.
You can try switching to the above option and check once.
If the issue still persists please repair AVG Secure VPN using the below article :
1. Ensure no other application or antivirus software is running on your PC.
2. Right-click the Windows Start button and select Apps and Features from the menu that appears.
3. Ensure that Apps & features are selected in the left panel, then click AVG Secure VPN.
4. If prompted by the User Account Control dialog for permissions, click Yes.
5. When the AVG Setup wizard appears, click Repair.
6. Wait while setup repairs AVG Secure VPN on your PC.
7. When the repair is complete, click Done.
After doing the above steps please check on the issue and let us know the status.
Thank you.
With AVG anti-virus ON I do not get voicemail. "Something went wrong with visual voicemail…" message only and the icon shows an x underneath.
If I disconnect VPN the messages come through. This is a fairly new problem.
Why??

Samuel,
Apologies for not responding sooner.
The issue has been at least six months ongoing. 03/17 my wife said she also does not get voicemails and when I showed her my solution up popped many old VM messages.
I have changed my location many times to no avail.
Please see below the steps I go through:
VPN ON
Missed call symbol comes up
VM symbol with small x comes up minutes later
I go to VM
-Nothing
-Press refresh
-“Something went wrong…” message
Turn VPN OFF
I go to VM
-Press refresh
-Success
If VPN is OFF
VM works
You do realize that I am having trouble with my Android not my PC. My PC has no voicemail
Thank you for the information.
Is your computer IOS or Android?
Please try changing the VPN location on the mobile and check.
Please provide the needed information so that we can check and help you further.
Thank you.
