If internet disconnects and connects on your device, VPN will be able to turn on automatically.
You can enable "kill switch" on AVG Secure. it is a feature that automatically disconnects your device from the Internet until the VPN connection is restored.
To be simple, if there are any issues with VPN, then if this feature is enabled, it would disconnect the device from connecting to internet in order to secure your privacy.
To ensure that AVG Secure VPN turn on automatically even on your home network, please open AVG Secure VPN program window.
Click on "gear" icon to open settings. Click on "network security" and deselect the box that says "exclude private trusted network".
Please make sure that in 'general' check box that says "start VPN when computer starts" is enabled.

I'm in an area where network outages are common. I see that AVG VPN can be configures to launch when the computer boots. Will it re-connect automatically if it terminates on network failure, not just on a computer boot?
