VPN connection error

Initially, we appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue.
Please clarify whether you experience this issue on your MAC. If so, let us know the version of your MAC & share us the screenshot of the message. 
Meanwhile, please restart your MAC once & then try connecting. Alternately, you can also try connecting through different networks such as wired, mobile hotspot, to identify whether the issue is with a specific network connection or irrespective of networks.

I have been unable to use my AVG VPN for the past 2 days. The app keeps showing a message saying: “Could not validate the server certificate. Verify your settings and try reconnecting.” I have tried every available solution found in the AVG troubleshooting, from changing the location to reinstalling the software, but nothing works. Does any have any idea what’s going on? I recently renewed my subscription, but I’m starting to wonder why?!

I’m still waiting for some help with my VPN connection. I sent a couple of screenshots showing the problem earlier but never got a reply. I noticed you sent a response to Andy as part of my enquiry. I guess, it is becausee he wrote a comment describing the same issue?! Thank you.

I have the same problem Macbook Air running El captian, it started on Monday morning. I think it is some thing to do with the handshake between the VPN and the server where the certificate the server sends back no longer matches the one held by AVG.
