VPN doesn't hide my location?

I am having the same issue. What was the solution?

We will check and help you with this issue.
Please open AVG Secure VPN program window.
Click on "change location" and select the locations available under "Streaming" and "P2P".
Check which location from it allows you to access bbc iplayer.
You can also connect to the streaming servers (locations) such as Glassgow, Wonderland or Gotham City in AVG Secure VPN to check if it allows you to access BBC iPlayer.

Hi there 
I live outside the UK and all I want to do is watch BBC UK programs, I subscribed to AVG's VPN to be able to do this. I have set my location as London UK. I try watch a show and it says that because I am outside the UK the content is not available.
So not quite sure why I am paying for AVG VPN ?
