Thanks for the quick response.

I rarely have the Kill switch activated but I went ahead and turned it on and activated the VPN for a few minutes then turned it back off.

Regardless of the Kill switch position, on or off, the internet still disconnects every 30 to 60 seconds.

I am using Windows 10 operating system, I was using AVG Secure VPN without any problems until two days ago, but today when I engage the VPN, the internet disconnects every 30 to 60 seconds. I uninstalled the VPN and reinstalled it (as Administrator) but to no avail.
I've tried numerous connections in the US, Canada and Australia but they also disconnect within a minute.
FYI.
I do not have any other VPN installed on my device.
I can access the internet continuously when the VPN is disabled.
I have AVG Internet Security installed but no other antivirus software.
There is no specific error message. Connection just fails then attempts to re-connect endlessly.

There appear to be no shortage of users with a similar problem but no solution…yet.

Hello Steve,
You've reached the AVG community support forum.
I am sorry to hear that you are facing this issue in VPN. Get into settings of AVG Secure VPN and select "Network Security Tab" to see the check box for kill switch. Uncheck the box and check the status with the program.

I hope this helps resolve your issue! If you’re still having any trouble, or have any questions, feel free to message us. I’d be happy to help.

Thank you for your understanding.

So after much hunting around I finally found a solution that, at least for me, has solved the problem.
I simply switched from the Automatic VPN protocol to the Open VPN protocol.
