Since the issue still persists after AVG Secure VPN has been uninstalled, we can come to the conclusion that its not causing this issue.
To be sure, please follow the steps to remove any leftover traces of AVG Secure VPN from your computer:
- Open "C Drive" in My Computer
- Open Program Files/Program Filesx86
- Open the AVG folder
- Permanently delete the "Secure VPN" sub folder
If the issue still persists after removing any/all leftover traces of AVG Secure VPN from your computer, temporarily disable your AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article and check the situation.
As an alternate, try connecting to an different/alternate Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot and check if you can get connected.

home computer initiated a kill switch while I was trying to install a new network printer. Now the pc will not connect to network. tried everything, including uninstalling avg vpn.... nothing. ideas?
