Hi, I've clicked on the 'article' link and clicked down to showing the list of softwares so far. It has AVG Security and AVG VPN too in the list. Is it the AVG Security I have to click on only? I've checked which version of AVG Security I'm running and it is the 19.7 version I've got. The other numbers after it show: 19.7.310(build19.7.4674522) It says that some customary things will remain but that some might return to the default etc. Would this be a problem? Would some things have to be reset in again?
If I have to do a screen shot, I'd have to wait until the panel appeared again, which it just did before I looked on here, telling me again that 4 problems exist and to get the VPN when I click to Resolve all. I'll try the repair first obviously when I know which component to click on and hope it goes to plan.
When I check my AVG Security it tells me there are four issues to address. When I click to see what they are, it's all to do with my location not being protected and my tracking etc. When I click to 'Resolve Everything' it's all about getting a VPN which I already have. When I click to see more it gives me the plans which I am using a 2yr one. I have other AVG components on too which I am paying yearly or two yearly plans.
It's always telling me I need to get a VPN. Surely AVG can see that I've already got one? Why does it do this? It got my location wrong anyway when it asked me if it had got it right.
Also, when I check Security on my Desk Top it sometimes, like today tells me that AVG is 'out of date.' How can it get out of date when I've got 'Automatic Updates ' selected. Today when it fixed the updates it showed automatic updates selected in the list. So, why is this so?
Thank you for the information, Jackie.
If AVG Secure VPN is already activated then the privacy issues campaign shouldn't appear at the bottom of AVG Internet Security program interface.
If you still get it after performing repair, do let us know.
It seems that you still have the old version of AVG tuneup program.
Do you see the program name as AVG PC TuneUp, then it is the old version.
To know about the features involved in the new version of tuneup, check this article.
If you would like to use it, do let us know.
I only got the out of date message a few days ago, but it will show every now and again. I click to update it and then it says it's up to date, It's showing it's up to date now.
I clicked into subscriptions and it shows that my subscription for Security goes 'til June 2020, and for the VPN it's July 2021. It could have been the other way around, I forget wihich now. It shows them as both being activated.
It says, 'other subscriptions available are AVG Tune-up showing a button at the side to 'install and activate' but I'm already using that as it has the end of the subscription as March 2020 so don't know why it's showing that to install it. When I click on that on my Desk Top it shows it as being 62% tuned up. I'll do the repair later.
I've got
Jacqueline, you already have the latest version (19.7) of AVG Internet Security installed.
Do you still get out of date message on AVG Internet Security?
If yes, perform repair of AVG Internet Security and check the status.
Do you confirm that AVG Secure VPN is activated?
Open AVG Secure VPN program interface.
Click on "My AVG–>My Subscriptions" from it.
Check whether AVG Secure VPN subscription details are appearing under "Subscription on this PC" category.
Keep us posted.
Hello Jacqueline,
This isn't the expected behavior.
It seems that the old version of AVG is still present on your computer which is why it is showing as out of date message.
Perform repair of AVG Internet Security program as mentioned in this article and check whether the issue gets resolved.
If not, provide the screenshot of the window where it shows message to purchase our VPN product.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Open AVG Internet Security program interface. Click on "Menu–>About" and check whether you have the 19.7 version installed.
Keep us informed about the status.
