Weblink wont open on iphone after AVG update

Hi, since I installed updated AVG yesterday, I had problems with laptop AND iphone. On laptop, eay fix: uninstall the software. On iphone, trickier. I think my mistake was to open an email from AVG on my iphone and to click on 'confirm my email'. BIG mistake. Since then, my phone freezes whenever I try to open a link, whether the link is in an email, whatsapp, text msg etc…
Can you please help? That update has totally stuffed up all my devices!!
