Actually it is not possible to measure the amount of resources that will be used by AVG program because it varies from PC to PC's.
The answer for your last question is "NO" AVG program doesn't' have any function named as "Reputation Scanner" and it won't remove any other software.
As you mentioned in the description, once the scanning is started by the antivirus program it is always recommended not to use the PC until the scan is completed, if you use the PC at the time of scanning it will slightly slow down the performance and also the scanning progress will not be that effective when you use the PC.

First Question:
I need to know how much of a performance drain (Footprint Size) I can expect from AVG Ultimate.
I have Norton 360 at the moment. The one thing I like about it is that you are hardly aware of it. Scans are done when your system is at idle for more than 10 minutes. If you start to work during that time, the scan is aborted and resumed when your PC goes idle again. The same counts for updates to the package.
Will AVG Ultimate do the same, because the one thing I absolutely hate is when your antivirus wants to scan your PC or update while you are busy working. This normally causes one big performance drain on your PC!
Second Question:
Norton has a "reputation scanner" which is hard coded into the program and cannot be disabled. This thing will scan your PC and then delete your files based on what the community think of the files. Programs I have used for more than six years suddenly got a bad reputation (somehow) and gets deleted when I want to use them. These are legitimate programs and not pirated. I hate piracy and have no pirated software on my PC.
Does AVG have such a dreadful function?
I want to purchase your AVG Ultimate and this will be a deal breaker if so.
