When I go to uninstall the avg pc tuneup it wont uninstall, sits @ 1%

I want to uninstall the avg pc tuneup as I don't want it as it is in trial and don't want to pay for it. Annd I want my AVG antivirus Free to work right. It keeps popping up the thing that compute is not right. All the time ! Can I uninstall the AVG Free antivirus and still add it again? I need help please! The pc tuneup is not working right, cant uninstall it . thanks in advance.
