I have had what seems to be the same problem. At least for my problem, I believe I understand what is preventing me from sending email when connected via AVG VPN. It turns out (in my case, at least) that many of the IP addresses that I get assigned when using VPN have been BLACKLISTED. I verify this by checking the VPN-assigned IP address with WhatsMyIP, then check to see if that address is blacklisted. My experience is that when my email fails to send via AVG VPN, it turns out the VPN-assigned IP address is blacklisted. I guess the spammers like VPN and kill the addresses. No idea how AVG plans to solve the problem.
Hello Erika,
I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I request you to change the location on AVG Secure VPN and see whether the issue gets resolved.
I have the same problem, and it also seems to be the IP address. They claim I have sent out spam, or something like that, on the error message I get. I even told them I had not done that, but it did not help. I also could NOT get on to my credit card website…It just kept telling me that they were working on the website. I had to turn the VPN off to send email replies, and guess once while it was off I tried the credit card site to see if they had finished working on it, and it opened! With the VPN on, it still will not open. That is how I found out that the VPN was causing the problem. I had even called them on the phone, because it was days and days of trying, and they had no information to give me, or questions about a VPN I might be on. They thought there really was a problem on the website, and could not tell me when it would be fixed.
I had put it on my husband's computer because he trades, and had to remove it, because it made his trades hesitate, which let the stock change points by the time his buy or sell went in.
I had to just uninstall the VPN from both computers.

Hi,
I've just purchased AVG secure VPN and for some reason it won't let me send emails (Windows 7 Live mail) I can receive them but any I want to send just sit in the outbox when secure vpn is switched on.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

OK but I'm in Australia so shouldn't the location be "Australia"?
