How do you confirm that AVG program causing this issue?
Have you tried to disable AVG Internet Security/Anti-virus and check the status?
Please try to disable AVG Firewall and Remote access shield one by one and check whether you can share the foloder.
Please confirm the version of operating system installed in your device.

Other computers on my home network were able to access my shared folders then stopped all of sudden. Why did AVG start seeing my other computers as a Brute Force attack.
