Why do i get 'update failure 'every time?

Please try it again and if will be same please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.

Lea, Have a look @ this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Update-failed-or-not-working-in-AVG). Otherwise, Re AVG Community Support expert assistance from Brno, Czech Rep… They will attend to your posting @ their earliest convenience but please bear this in mind i.e. Workdays [Mon-Fri] 9:00am - 5:00pm CET.

on the multi option screen with avg it says database outdated,then asks me to click 'update'when i do this it gets to 70%then a message appears saying 'update failed'-why?i bought avg in january of this year-i'm also not very computer literate…duh!
