Why does my new purchase expire 19 april 2018

why does my new purchase say that it ends on 19April 2018 when my Norman security suite does not expire until 10/6 this year and I got a renewal message to renew now to get a cheeper price. for me  it means that the purchase should last until june 10 2018 Otherwise I feel cheeted.
