So I am happy to let AVG try to repair the problem remotely yet I have ran the Support-LogMeInRescue.exe as an administrator and added an exception in Windows firewall yet still the program will not connect, even though I am connected with a wire to my router and have no problems running programs like Discord or Skype.
Please. What can I do?
Hi David,
We're glad to look into this & help you. We appreciate your attempts in sharing us the screenshot for better clarity.
Unfortunately, it didn't get attached or arrive at our end. Would you be so kind to resend the screenshot to us? (Click on Answer - select Mountain symbol - Browser & attach the image)
However, from your description, we see that a Steam file has been detected as threat.
In the first place I could not even download the program through firefox, after filling in my details and going to the next page firefox would tell me secure connection failed after waiting for the download to start so I had to get the file using Opera browser. I even tried disabling AVG HTTPS scanning in case it was blocking my download.
Thank you for providing us the info, David.
Would you be so kind to let us know if you're unable to access the D drive on your computer?
David, please try connecting us again and wait for sometime for the technician to take over the control. You will be receiving a dialogue box named 'User Access Control', click 'OK' or 'Accept' to proceed further.

Hi David,
We realize the situation.
We've sent you an email with instructions to connect with our Remote Expert to check the situation on your computer. They will fix the issue efficiently.
If the e-mail is not found in your inboc, do check your spam/junk folders as well.
Thank you.
It seems that the Steam file is insider a folder named zero or O that is in D drive.
Please check & let us know if the file is available in the mentioned location.
Also, do not attempt to move or remove that file.
No problem at all using the D: itself, all the files are fine its just AVG that is detecting in this unusual location.
Actually it is not inside a folder, D:0\ is not a folder. I can't access the location, I even tried opening cmd and directing to D:0\ even though I knew I would not be able to get there. I can't fix this myself which is why I hoped coming to either the Microsoft or AVG forum would help me find out how to fix it. Please, if you can help then please do.
