Why is it so difficult to unsubscribe from AVG

I've fallen for their trap, go to unsubscribe and the suck you in with a discount because they don't like no for an answer. It should be a simple click of the button to cancel, not be forced to talk directly to a tech who will do anything to keep you signed up. I've just been hit with a renewal that they warn you about a month earlier. Which is sneaky because I was planning on cancelling but forgot about it until I noticed the BIG drop in my bank account!

I wan't to close my account and have my money back - i did not renew my licens.
