Firstly, could you try changing the server/location of your AVG Secure VPN to one of the Streaming/Torrenting servers and check whether this issue persists?
Also, please enable the Mimic Protocol in your AVG Secure VPN by following the below steps:
Open AVG Secure VPN > Menu > Settings > Protocols > Select Mimic.
Secondly, is the "Kill Switch" feature enabled in your AVG Secure VPN?

When ever my VPN is running My WiFi adapter becomes disabled. When I turn off VPN the WiFi adapter will be enabled. Any Ideas on cause or how to fix?
