Wifi shuts down when i turn laptop on

I understand the inconvenience. May I ask how you narrowed this down to AVG? Have you disabled AVG program and check?

Please disable AVG temporarily (Right click on AVG icon in System tray & turn off the protection) and check if you are able to connect the Wifi.

Ever since I got this AVG protection it shuts down my wifi, no one in the house can use the wifi unless I restart it.  The wifi always shuts down as soon as I turn my laptop on.  Now more recently Netflix on my laptop shuts down.
