Win32/Sality Infection

Hello Lakshmi, sorry to hear that. May I know which AVG program you have installed so that it will be easier for us to assist you further?

Yesterday one of our client PCs was infected with Win32/Sality from a Pen drive. The client PC was not getting the latest signature updates for a fortnight due to delay in renewing the license and hence the infection. I downloaded AVG remover for Win32/Sality and it wanted to reboot the computer. On reboot, it is reporting infection on almost all directories and is running for more than 9 hours. Is it a removable infection or is it better to reformat the system?
