Windows 10 BSOD Caused by Latest Update

I removed Malwarebytes.  Tried to reinstall AVG and got BSOD when installation was at 97%.

Hi Russell,
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Did you have AVG free removed from your computer now? Could you confirm there is not conflicting anti virus or anti malware program installed on your PC? If you do, please uninstall it, re install AVG free and verify the issue.

I am using the latest version of AVG Free.  Yesterday the software updated itself and when the system rebooted I get the BSOD message: Page_Fault in Non Paged Area.

I uninstalled AVG and the system boots fine.  I reinstalled to verify cause and got the same error.  I will appreciate any help/

I am running Windows 10 Pro on HP Envy Laptop
I removed malwarebytes and tried to reinstall AVG but the installation got a BSOD at the 97% mark.

Russell, I really appreciate your effort in resolving this issue. This might be because if old/previous AVG traces. I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Free Antivirus 2017. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version. After the computer reboots, please follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free) to download/install AVG Free Antivirus. Best regards,
Alok.

I used AVG Removal Tool (it found nothing but I selected "run anyway").  Computer rebooted and finished the uninstallation.  I rebooted again and then downloaded the AVG Free from AVG.com.  During the installation process, at 97% again, the BSOD appeared.  Please see attachement and advise.BSOD on Installation

Thank you, Russell. I have escalated the case to the senior technicians, they will analyze the logs and get back to you via email soon.

AVG Free is removed from PC
I have no other virus software
I DO have Malwarebytes installed.

Please confirm you want me to remove Malwarebytes, reinstall AVG Free and see if problem comes back.
Please understand that Malwarebytes has been on the laptop for several months, coexisting with AVG Free.  This problem manifested itself when AVG updated itself yesterday.
