I can't login to windows after AVG request to update and restart
Ken, if you are stuck on the Windows logon screen when yuo start the PC, I am afraid it is not caused by AVG and we'd request you to contact Microsoft support for help.
Windows 10. AVG Version 20.1
Windows lock screen asks for a password which I do not use. No matter what I put in, old password or leave blank it tells me it is the wrong password. I do not or did not have a password enabled. I even tried a windows repair/install and the same thing happens. I cannot get past the lock screen. (windows log-in screen).
I have not been doing windows updates. It's a fairly new computer. It was working perfectly until AVG did a restart to update. After that, it was stuck on the log-in window. I am pretty sure it was AVG. Thanks anyway. I have taken it off of 2 other computers so far.
I forgot. I also cannot get into safe mode or boot settings.
Ken, are you able to logon to your PC normally after uninstalling AVG? Is it AVG AntiVirus free that you are using? Coud you reinstall AVG and verify the issue?
