The Windows 10 Fall Creators update removed AVG Antivirus (Free) from my PC. I downloaded and re-installed, but there's no desktop shortcut and although it is on the installed programs list in settings, I can't find any way to run it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Frank,
Appreciate your efforts so far. I would request you to run AVG Clear and AVG Remover tools on your PC to remove the traces completely and re install it. Click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product for instructions to download and run those tools. Hi Abirami,
Thanks for your swift response.
I followed your instructions.Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
Select AVG in the list of programs.
Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
I got an error box saying AVG had already been uninstalled.
It occurred to me that perhaps my downloaded install file was somehow corrupted or incomplete, so I went
