Hello Robert. I understand how something like this can really try your patience. I request you to reset your browser settings, history and cookies. And let us if the issue still persist. Could you please let us know which AVG product you have installed in your pc? Thank you.
My windows 10 Edge app has been hi-jacked by http://browser-support.org and I am told to call 1-855-401-6394 to remove the trojan from my "chrome" browser. I performed a complete virus scan but it is still there and Edge is unusable. Any ideas?
I removed "Chrome" and ran spybot but the freezing continued. I then downloaded Malwarebytes and it found 4 in the registry. Now I am waiting to see if the freezing stops. If not, I will reformat the HD and go back to Win7.
Hi Aravind, I have internet security 2015 (full, 5 licenses) and have used AVG for years. I have deleted all browsing history and cookies. Downloaded spybot ( which I had used in the past with success) and finally deleted Chrome completely but the alert was still there on Edge (the new windows 10 explorer). I reset the home page to www.microsoft.com and restarted the pc and it let me in.
I was not able to find a reference to "dealware" in the registry or programs or anything related to browser-support.org .
Hello Robert. Thank you for trying reset of the browser. Do you get any popups now while browsing?
