We have AVG Business Edition.
All 3 of our Accounting department computers were stuck on the Windows logo screen. We've spent hours and hours trying to fix the computers to no avail. I went ahead and rebuilt the hard drive on one of the computers, since we ran out of things to try. I happened to come across something on the Internet that said that AVG could be causing the problem. I was able to bring the computers up in Safe mode, remove AVG, and reboot and the computers came up normally. So as long as AVG is not installed on these computers, they will come up fine. We have almost 100 computers total, but only these 3 have the problem. Most of our computers, including the Accounting computers, are kept current with Windows updates. What can we do for these Accounting computers that no longer operate normally with AVG? We have done exhaustive testing for malware and hardware problems. No problems were found. Is there a Windows update that may be in conflict with AVG?
