Hi Verdeen,
If AVG says you are protected, I would ignore windows messages.
Thanks
Hi Verdeen,
Please download and run this tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Delrep_en.exe) to fix the issue. Restart your computer once the tool finishes the process.
Let me know how it goes.
Hello Jan,
I ran that and let it reboot the computer. It removes it and then the program automatically reboots the computer at which point the alert is back. I tried unistalling AVG Antivirus then using the AVG removal tool then resinstalling AVG Antivirus still no luck. Then I tried that tool again and it still comes back.
Thanks,
Verdeen
Hello,
I have a windows XP Media Center Edition with Service Pack 3. It still had AVG Antivirus 2012 on it and Windows Security Alert kept showing that there is no virus protection found. I updated AVG to 2015 and it is still showing no virus protection found. I rebooted after the install. Also AVG says its all up to date.
