I've tried Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge before I contacted you. Windstream had me do the same thing. Again, it shows that the certificate is secure, but doesn't show the "locked'" emblem once it flips over to the email.

Refer this article to disable AVG Internet Security temporarily and check the status with email.
If the issue persist, turn off AVG Secure VPN and check the status.
Let us know on disabling which AVG program resolves the issue with your email.
I have Windstream as my internet carrier. Their email is "Kinetic." From the Windstream.com page, I use the icon to go to my email and at the final flip, it becomes "unsecure." They have checked on their end and feel it is an AVG issue. The certificate says it's secure, but does not show as such when the email comes up. Where is the problem?

But we regret to hear that the issue persists. We believe this issue is not caused by an AVG product as the issue persists even after disabling the AVG apps.
I'd request you to get in touch with your email service provider or a locat technician.

Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Mary. Sometimes, this might happen due to browser issues. Would you be so kind to try accessing the email in a different browser to check & let us know?
I tried both of these options and after each I tried to log onto the email. It went 'unsecure' in each instance.
