Wireless adapter exceptions to firewall

Hi David,

Thanks

I was using a Belkin Miracast wireless adapter on a Surface 3 with Windows 8.1. It stopped working a couple of weeks ago (was unable to connect), and only by disabling the firewall in AVG could I get it to work again. The same thing happens with the Microsoft branded wireless adapter. I don't know what may have changed in AVG, but how do I add the wireless adapter as an exception to the firewall? I tried the Interactive setting, assuming the program would ask to make an exception the first time I tried to connect with the adapter, but that didn't work. I really don't want to have to turn the firewall off and on - any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
David
