Having the same problem and apparently I have missed this for some time - not sure how long I have been exposed. Have tried all of your suggestions to no avail

When I click on Yes

I have a similar problem.
It seems the problem occurs in the following situation:

1. A normal user (not admin) is logged in.
2. The PC (Win10) goes into sleep mode.
3. During the night a scheduled backup wakes up the computer.
4. The backup cannot run because it need an admin user.
5. At the same time, AVG is trying to update the virus definitions.
6. The you get the error above, because you don't have the privilige. (Sill logged on as a normal user).

Thank you for providing screenshots Mohammed,
In this case, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version. (1/2)

This was running without any issues until a few days back.
Now -
Keep getting this message when the AVG updates are running.
C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus\wsc_proxy.exe
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Had a very similar issue myself. AVG requested update but would not update with the wsc_proxy error refered to above. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Using windows defender for the time being… If there is any further info on htis issue would appreciate it - thanks

Hello Jeroen,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Windows action center pop up. The issue is because of old/previous AVG traces. In this case, I request you to clear all the AVG traces using AVG Remover tool/AVG Clear tool. Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool. After the computer reboot, please go to that path (C:/ program files (x86) > AVG > Antivirus > wsc_proxy.exe ) and delete wsc_proxy.exe files manually. After that you can follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Ultimate) to download/install/activate AVG Ultimate.
Best regards,
Alok.
