You are not fully protected

The message "you are not fully protected" is displayed along with the following: Emails: "Email scanner is not fully functional."

In attempt to learn why AVG was hogging the CPU and disk I tried disabling each of the 5 major components.  When I finished, I attempted to restore all components.  The Email componets didn't restore and the above message is displayed.  There is a message on the right side of the window indicating: "click to fix it"  I clicked it, it didn't restore.

What do I need to change to have Email protection restored?
