Hi Milan Jasenský, the new AVG is good but i/we need those old good functions back, especially these two ASAP in next upcoming version, these are the most important features for me at least in my priority list.

Also, even after checking/enabling the option in AVG settings notification settings section "Show what's new after update' why no changelog is shown after an update? Fix this bug & make a transparent blog post of every new version release with detailed changelog like Google did for their chrome release for better transparency & understanding to & for the consumers like us.
Like many of others, am too a long term AVG PC tuneup user, even since then when it was not a part of AVG, so we don't want to see a half backed BETA product that we are paying for a subscription.
The product line of tune up during years was adding more and more features… avg was happy each year to show the new version with more and more features for the happy users… So when this time you show the new version and suddenly we see that there are no interesting new features… And you have removed like the 75% of the features and for the same price… Is It's completely normal that users start to be hungry…
And by the way… The features that are still there or are been added during this months all are now for totally basic users… No extra info… No advanced view… Big deep advanced tool is now a simple basic tool with 75% features removed… For the same price… The only words from avg for these is that all of this is because off some surveys… But god ! Tune up users since years did this surveys? That is impossible… No-one want this… The other solution u give us is to keep old app that will not be update never… Or just close account and remove subscription…
What users wants is to recover old product line… And to be happy with what tuneup was… The best app for customization, styles, fix and optimization tools the exist all over the world… And not what is now… "one more" too expensive for the features that it has…

I like the new user interface, and it is good to see you still working on the product, now that it owned by AVG/AVAST. It was also good to see that as usual, the registry cleaner has no issues with false positives, which is something I've come to expect in the last 22 years of using your products.
There is a serious limition in the Disk Doctor, in that there is no way to select multiple disks/partitions to scan. I installed TuneUp on a computer with many partitions. It suggested I scan the partitions for errors, but I had to manually scan every single volume, which was annoying.
On a unreleated note, do you ever plan to improve your AVG Driver Updater sofware? I know it;s a rebrand of DriverUpdate and it has one of smallest database of drivers that any driver update software has. It would be good if you could release decent driver update software.
The year is 2021, Tuneup Team promise to restore functionalities but from 2019 to now NOTHING. Tuneup removes all these incredible features and leaves some kind of 3 button app. Excuses and excuses about feedback from customers. Really? Do you think that customers want less than more??? Do you really think that we will think that? I loved tuneup and used it for many years but now was killed and they don't answer about customer requests. We want the features again not a downgrade. It's a pity but maybe is real, we must start looking for another solution

What kind of update is this ¿? almost all features have been removed !!! and what is still there… have been limited in control / customization / info and now works much worse !.
Are you saying that tuneup users whant that stuff to be removed ¿? all ¿? and for the same price ¿? I am pretty sure that the answer is NO. Seems a joke ! Tune Up now is almost useless… the only feature that has been keeped is "AVG Disable Apps"… You should bring the features back… otherway… tuneup will probably be dead soon…
I complete agree! I thought I was losing it. Paying for a supposed PREMIUM package and now I am just getting a crippled version of what it used to be. No power saving managment, no defragmention, no enhanced disk doctor managment tool. The list goes on. We've gone to a fully rich featured package giving 32 different applications for your computer down to 9! I thought I didn't have a paid licence. AVG Tuneup is useless piece of crap right now. To make matters works, somehow when I uninstalled it, it broke certain programs that it was linked it. Even if I uninstalled and reinstalled the software they would not work unless I reinstalled AVG Tuneup.
It used to be such an amazing piece of software to tweak your computer and now it's all gone to some stupid registry/disk cleaner with the ability to disable apps to save resources…
Shame on you AVG! and shame on you for charging the same price for a stripped version of your original software.
I did cancel my subscription immediately and got my refund. Anyone else, stay away… This program has no value of any kind anymore. Renewing is a waste of money.
Well… after almost 5 months from the last "official" answer about "we are working on it" with no happy news… finally my subscription will expire in some days… I did renew 2 months that were free… but in 10 days will finally expire…
Almost 1 year from my first post… and some more months from this new version and since then… we are at the same point… I can now say that my money for the last subscription was gone directly to the trash…
In imho you should have been working in a big update… with cool new features to make it possible for AVG to simply survive… new CPUs + memory size and SSD are changing the need to "dinamyc disable apps / services" now is a little less important thinking in that and all the removed functions and what is more important… 0 new features is making me think various things:
1. The current name AVG TuneUp is better than the some years old name "Tune Up Utilities" since the word "Utilities" is far from the current build… 2. Your other apps (Firewall, Virus Scan…) will have problems to survive now that security center in windows covers everything… so if you are using all tuneup subscriptors money in those apps… maybe you are doing a bad decission… 3. I really think that you (AVG) are just killing this SW with the last decisions… I am pretty sure you are loosing sunscriptors…
In ten days I will install the older version with my older key and will wait some time for news / updates to analize if tuneup still worths my money…
FYI - no chance. After installing the very good version (original old version, with all the great functions and features), an uncontrollable auto update happens. And this "new" version is forced upon you. Right, the "Legacy" version is still available, free to install. But this will are updated automatically, immediately after installation, to the stripped-down version which is already hotly discussed here. Unfortunately, that's not that great

Are we ever going to get these features back? Reviewing this thread that was created almost 2 years ago and barely anything has changed? I am a software developer and it's absolutely ludacrous for the freatures that have been asked to be re-implemented into a once great product to take this long. It's very clear you are all just trying to make a buck off everyone. I will not be renewing my subscription once it expires. Instead, I'll find a better product. Or, better yet, write my own and take away your revenue on this POS.

OMG, thank God I did a search and read some threads like this, as I had allowed my paid subscription to lapse for several months and used the free version, which I am on now, which updated today automatically, then asked me to all it to fix all my so-called performance issues, suggesting to delete MS Office 2016, etc. WHAT??? I chose to research if this was a good idea, allowing the free Tuneup option to "clean up" my computer.
I found a whole host of comments from the Google search and here, NOT TO DO THAT!!!! Even Microsoft says that AVG is good, but their Tune Up program will screw up your computer...and many AVG customers said so!!!
Then I find out, as I was for the last few months thinking about renewing the Ultimate AVG subscription, SAW THIS THREAD about how all those great tools were removed without any permission on the customer's part. Oh, but then I read in some threads that AVG Customer Service Reps kept basically saying:
"We decided to remove all those features because customer surveys etc said the customers didn't want those things." That is when I about lost it. Does anyone really think we're stupid enough to believe that line of bull?????
No, AVG, just admit the truth...you want to package those things separately so you can make more money!!!! You know...I don't mind some surprises...but I hate those who lie to your face!!!! So now, do you think I really will buy the product and upgrade back from the free one???

I talked with AVG support too. And seems to be, users knows AVG software better as support team. How can you don't differ or do not no disk space explorer. This is not a disk doctor at all. I miss this function(disk explorer) too. And the recyclebin recovery too.(no this is not the rescue center, as support team thinks, this is for recovery deleted files from drives, and this function was in 2018 too) I rolled back to 2018 version. But After Windows Update, AVG forced and instaled 2019 v. self. I cancel my subsribtion too AVG tuneup utility already. And will search for the alternative. There are a lot of function are gone, and AVG only tell, we make it after users feedback. Realy? Why a programm which have now only 1/30 von fucntions costs the same money. You can sell "users feedback" on some one else. Resource/stuff reduction, that's all. It was a great programm in 2018, but not now. It is late 2019 and still a lot of function is missing. If all described function will be not back, I will switch for the alternativ. Subscription is already off.
First of all let me sincerely apologize for all the frustration we might cause you by migrating the TuneUp to the new architecture while we had to drop a lot of features during the process.
I am afraid that I don't have good news for you today as our priorities got shifted and we have been focusing on other products in the last year and the journey continues also this year. We understand that you miss some of the features from the old TuneUp and if you would like to continue using the old product, considering the fact that it is not supported anymore, please contact our support and they will try to help you get back the old version.
When it comes to the future development of the new TuneUp product, we will eventually get back to it and try to add some features which are missing there compared to the old product, but the fact is that we will never be able to get back to the full feature set again as we are not able to support so many features anymore.
I hope it at least answered some of your questions and concerns.
I have been using TuneApp for several years. I agree with all the previous posters. I just reinstalled my windows and had to install the newer version of TuneUp. Almost all of the features that I used and liked are now missing. That makes the software of minimal functionality and little use for other users and me.
The company did an abysmal job of communicating the changes in the new release, and we just ended up with a basic version of the software.
Surprisingly, the reps state here that this was all done due to feedback from the users?! Did all the users ask you to remove most of the features?! Other statements made suggest that this was due to the need to rewrite the code using a different language? Does this indicate that the current release is a beta version and that is why the version missing most of the features? Was the app released too early, and now the company does not want to own their mistake?!
Sadly, I would have to cancel my subscription after using this software for many years.
Almost May… After paying a subscription for a downgraded tuneup with no updates in more than 1 year… this is starting to be something more close to a fraud each day… AVG is clealy killing tune up… the rest is just… bla bla bla bla…
Bonjour, J'utilise depuis au moins TuneUp 10 ans ou plus sous ses anciens noms et les éditeurs. Je suis d' accord avec tout ce qui a été dit précédemment et la nouvelle version est une grande déception et je vais devoir trouver une autre solution pour gérer et optimiser mon PC. Les fonctions enlevées et signalées dans l' après-mi-Décembre 2018 flux ne réapparaîtra et je pense que , malheureusement , ils ne reviendront pas maintenant. Cette mise à jour ressemble vraiment à un niveau inférieur

Hi They said clairly that new version of AVG TUNEUP will be available in January 2020 with some functions reintegration (Duplicate file finder, Disk space explorer) WE ARE WAITING… I think they had to keep removed functions as its already and in same time working on reconstruction of new software with new language, but they maked wrong decisions and they are losing costumers of AVG TUNEUP day by day

Are you kidding with your canned reponses?!?! The performance wasn't improved and removing features already paid for is unacceptable. We paid for them you can't just remove them. Don't say that it is because of user feedback, because you aren't fooling anyone. You said the same thing when you deleted Zen. You admitted that one of the features was removed to be a standalone, will you charge separately for it??? Where is undelete??? You rewrote the code with a different programming language which caused problems and so removed those features. People only complained after something was working and then you changed and broke it. You should never release an update written in a new language that hasn't been thouroughly tested. You say that the pervious was unsustainable; why don't you explain why? Is it possible that when AVG was purchased by Avast you didn't keep the programmers who wrote AVG so they new ones didn't want to try to figure out the poorly annotated code and started from scratch?
Please return all of the features WE PAID FOR!
